Pocket Scarves for Hearth

HEARTH was pleased to receive our donation of lapghans for their residents. Most will be given to the frail elderly. We will continue with project donations for this organization. Fishnets  created Pocket Scarves or Shawls. All Pocket Scarves and Shawls were made in gender neutral colors using fibers that are machine washable and dryable.

Lapghans for HEARTH

Lapghans for our first charity project were due in September 2007.  These blankets went to HEARTH in Boston. HEARTH's mission is focused on helping elders who are at risk through homeless.  We were asked to make our lapghans in gender neutral colors to ensure they are suitable for both men and women. All lapghans werecreated of fibers that are machine washable and dryable, with no fringe or other embellishments that might be a hindrance to someone in a wheelchairJean Deroo, Chapter President, presented the lapghans to HEARTH on October 10th.In all, Fishnets hooked 8 blankets to donate. If you want more information about HEARTH, follow this link: http://www.hearth-home.org.
